Scope and Contents

This collection centers around one Florida State Guard soldier, and an American soldier stationed at the Technical School and Basic Training Center for the Air Force in Gulfport Field, Mississippi. The collection includes a child's drawing, two letters written to the soldier's mother outlining Air Force training and daily life, a newspaper clipping written about the Florida State Guard drills, a letter about D-Day, and photographs of a B-26 Marauder, an American flight crew, an American and Russian soldier, and Yontan Airfield in Okinawa, and their corresponding modern negatives.

This collection is comprised of political papers on a broad range of people and subjects accumulated during Donald L. Tucker's term as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives.

Scope and Contents The Omicron Delta Kappa Records collection consists of administrative records for the Florida State University Seminole Circle of ODK. These include meeting minutes, alumni records and lists, various correspondence and programs and photographs from tapping and initiation ceremonies throughout the years. Of interest is the initiates register dating to the foundation of the circle. This register contains the signatures of all initiates from 1950 to 2007. Scope and Contents The Florida State University (FSU) University Government Association University Council Minutes document the deliberations of this governing body from 1950-1952. Predominant topics covered in the minutes include approval of student organizations, campus parking, dress codes, selection of students for Who's Who in American Colleges, student judiciary penalties, student representation on campus committees, and training programs for new student government officers. Scope and Contents

The collection was given by George L. Waas in October of 2015. It contains materials related to his time serving as the Editor in Chief of the Florida Flambeau, a member of the Florida Bar Association, and document his long career as a litigator in the State of Florida. Included in the collection are correspondence, newspaper articles, photographs and monographs written by Mr. Waas.

The Reubin Askew Student Memorabilia documents his activities as a student in the late 1940s and as president of Florida State University's Student Government Association in 1951. Includes an FSU Student Honor Code pamphlet, "Honorbound," Askew's student government presidential campaign paper insert for badge, on which is written "Vote for Rube Askew for President U.G.A," and his Freshman Beanie, on which his nickname "Rube" is stitched.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains research materials used by Martin Dyckman for his 2006 book about former Governor Leroy Collins titled Floridian of His Century. Research materials include speeches from Leroy Collins before he became governor; an interview transcript with Premier Khrushchev during Collins' trip to the Soviet Union; newspaper columns written by Collins for the St. Peterburg Times and transcripts and audio recordings of interviews conducted by Dyckman.
