Addresses delivered by former Florida Circuit Judge Ben C. Willis and an article written by Willis for the Florida Heritage Foundation News and Views. These materials are useful to researchers studying Tallahassee life during the 1930s. According to Lee Willis, these addresses were probably given at the Exchange Club in Tallahassee, which met at the Cherokee Hotel until it closed.

Scope and Contents Containing over two million pages, the Claude Pepper Papers includes his official correspondence, speeches, legislative, committee, and campaign files. In addition, there are files of his personal correspondence, speeches, photographs, recordings, and memorabilia. Also included are the personal papers, photographs, recordings, and memorabilia of his wife, Mildred Irene Webster Pepper. Mrs. Pepper always took a deep interest in public affairs and in helping her husband in his political career. This collection contains Franklin Merle Peterson's personal correspondence, newspapers, ephemera, and photographs from Peterson’s lifetime. Peterson was a veteran of the First World War in France and the Second World War in the U.S. Army Air Corps.

The collection was given by George L. Waas in October of 2015. It contains materials related to his time serving as the Editor in Chief of the Florida Flambeau, a member of the Florida Bar Association, and document his long career as a litigator in the State of Florida. Included in the collection are correspondence, newspaper articles, photographs and monographs written by Mr. Waas.

Correspondence, memorabilia, newspaper clippings, photographs, and speeches documenting the career of attorney, Florida legislator, educator, and businessman James Velma Keen, from 1926 when he began practicing law in Sarasota, Florida, until his death in Tallahassee, Florida, in March 1963.

Scope and Contents The collection includes personal correspondence, classroom notes, and handouts, newspaper clippings and information about the travel agency Hay and her husband owned and operated in the 1930s. Included in the collection are also the papers of the Philosophy of Education Society Papers. The Philosophy of Education Society was organized in 1942.
