Abstract

This collection is comprised of political papers on a broad range of people and subjects accumulated during Donald L. Tucker's term as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives.

Scope and Contents

The collection was given by George L. Waas in October of 2015. It contains materials related to his time serving as the Editor in Chief of the Florida Flambeau, a member of the Florida Bar Association, and document his long career as a litigator in the State of Florida. Included in the collection are correspondence, newspaper articles, photographs and monographs written by Mr. Waas.

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of the Official Entertainment records for Florida State University President J. Stanley Marshall from March 1969 through July 1976 and a Photograph Album of the Marshalls' trip to the Canal Zone and the Republic of Panama with Lawton Chiles.

Scope and Contents The Spessard Lindsey Holland collection consists primarily of the personal correspondence, photographs, campaign materials, individual files, Floridiana, and memorabilia such as various awards and certificates, plaques, and miscellaneous novelty items. The collection has materials dated from the 1890s to the early 1970s with the majority of the collection dated after the 1930s. Biographical materials on the former Governor and U.S. Senator can be found in this collection as well as various papers and correspondence during his terms in both of these offices. Scope and Contents The Thomas LeRoy Collins Papers, 1903-1991, largely document this prominent Florida statesman's post-Gubernatorial career (1961-1991). While these materials are predominantly from this period, there are also files from his earlier years as Florida Representative, Florida Senator, and Florida Governor. The collection includes campaign materials, correspondence, newsclippings, records from organizations in which he served, speeches, and press releases. In addition, there are articles written by Collins, books, personal memorabilia, photographs, and sound and video recordings.
