This collection is comprised of budget materials for Florida State University, dating 1921-1955. The materials from 1921-1947 are for the Florida State College for Women, and the materials from 1948-1955 are for Florida State University.
This collection contains all of the financial records of Florida State College for Women from 1903-1948, including account ledgers, bills paid, summaries of receipts and expenditures, and state funds and expenses.
Correspondence, memorabilia, photographs, publications and working files, dated from 1940-1944, of the Campus Defense Council of the Florida State College for Women (FSCW).
The materials in this collection contain information about the following persons and subjects at the Florida State College for Women, between the years of 1918-1957: Bacteriology, biology, botany, zoology, Salem College, F. N. Caldwell, William Kenley Clark, Ezda M. Deviney, Elizabeth Griffing, Laura Marie Henry, John F. Hewetson, Mary Noka Hood, J. M. Odiorne, Betty Robuton, Alban Stewart, and Carolyn Trump.
This collection consists of three directories containing addresses of faculty, students, and staff of the Florida State College for Women for the years 1941-1942, 1942-1943, and 1944-1945. Additional directories can be found in the Florida State University Library Catalog.
The Student Record Books contain information about each student who attended the State Seminary West of the Suwanee River from 1890-1899, the Florida State College, from 1905-1909, and Florida State College for Women, from 1913-1927. Data includes student name, name of parent or guardian, city of residence, date of admittance and graduation, courses taken, and grades.
These statistical reports give enrollment, attendance, withdrawal and entrance reports first monthly and later per semester. They also report numbers of employees of various categories. The reports were sent to the Board of Control from Florida State College for Women and later from Florida State University.

The collection consists of minutes from General Faculty meetings, recommendations of candidates for graduation, related memoranda, and faculty members' obituaries. The collection will be of interest to those researching issues of broad concern to the University in the time period covered, which includes the transition period of Florida State College for Women to the Florida State University.
