This collection relates to Lillian Louise Rudd Davisworth who worked as a civilian at Camp Murphy, in Stuart, Florida, first as a Camp Locator, and then after several promotions, was in charge of writing special orders. This collection contains Rudd's documentation from her time at Camp Murphy. Included are several newspaper clippings about Camp Murphy, a Camp Murphy Message Newspaper, and forms that recorded Rudd's employment. Also included is a transcript, from an interview of Rudd by FSU staff member Sellers, where she discusses her wartime experiences.

Deborah Gierach papers

Scope and Contents Deborah Gierach's collection of photographs were taken by her late father-in-law (no name given), a B-17 pilot in Europe during the Second World War. The collection consists of scanning from three photograph albums (in German) compiled and produced for the Nazi government as a means to show what the Third Reich was doing during the war. Subjects include Nazi rallies, Adolf Hitler, Heinrich Himmler, Hermann Goering, soldiers, military vehicles, as well as Hitler playing with children and socializing with others. Content Description This collection relates to Major General Delmar T. Spivey who was an U.S. Army Air Corps prisoner of war in Stalag Luft III in Germany from August 1943 until May 1945. Then Colonel Spivey was in charge of gunnery training for B-17 flight crews of the U.S. 8th Air Force based in England. He was sent to England with several other gunnery instructors to teach air gunnery to bomber flight crews who were being decimated by German fighter aircraft. He was participating in his first combat mission as a nose gunner/ observer on a bombing mission over Gelsenkirchen in the Ruhr Valley when his plane was disabled by anti-aircraft fire. Documents of the British possessions of East and West Florida

Scope and Contents This collection consists of 40 signed documents, 7 autographed letters signed, and 6 letters signed, relating to the civil and military administration of the British possessions of East and West Florida. This is an important collection of manuscript material, apparently all unpublished, related to East and West Florida, which was part of the British Empire just prior to the American Revolution. Both were obtained from Spain at the Treaty of Paris in 1763. West Florida was captured by Governor Galvez of Louisiana in 1781, and East Florida reverted to Spain and was evacuated in 1784.
