Scope and Contents Addresses delivered by former Florida Circuit Judge Ben C. Willis and an article written by Willis for the Florida Heritage Foundation News and Views. These materials are useful to researchers studying Tallahassee life during the 1930s. According to Lee Willis, these addresses were probably given at the Exchange Club in Tallahassee, which met at the Cherokee Hotel until it closed.

Florida voting registrations

Scope and Contents These papers contain early Florida county voting registration data for primary and general elections from 1914 to 1962. They were used in connection with a voting study done by Elston Roady and Annie Mary Hartsfield of the Florida State University Institute for Social Research. There are 46 individual county lists of numbers of Florida registered voters and 18 county summary lists of numbers of registered voters.

Scope and Contents The collection ranges from some early documents of the late 1980s although the majority are from the mid-1990s. It is primarily made up of legal documents and transcriptions used in court during the appeals process. Scope and Contents Papers, books, photographs, memorabilia, correspondence, speeches and scrapbooks. This collection consists mainly of papers connected with Fuller Warren's public life: his campaigns of 1948 and 1956, and particularly the four years he was Governor, from January 4, 1949, to January 6, 1953. One of the best documented areas in the collection deals with Warren's controversy with Senator Estes Kefauver over crime in Florida.

Abstract The collection includes correspondence, deeds, accounting records, bills and debt letters, contracts, invoices, shipping records, and various ledgers. The majority of the collection consists of correspondence, 1890-1920, concerning orders of lumber to be shipped, shipping status, and payments. A large portion of the collection is comprised of shipping records, 1904-1919, contained in 12 boxes.  It also contains 115 bound volumes including various ledgers, letter books, cash books, sales records, log books, shipping records, cash reports, and accounting journals.
