This collection is a sample of Civil War documents which illustrate efficiently organized military records. It contains examples of Invoices, receipts, forms, correspondence and other related papers. These documents contain many names of officers, non-commissioned officers, artificers, musicians and privates. The letters are from Fairfax, Virginia, dated 1863. Subjects and persons discussed in the collection include: military supplies, Gettysburg, William Harding, Charles, Allen, A. B. Madison, William Burgess, Peter States, B. F. Ashenfelder, William D. Dixon, J. A. Waggoner, and A. B. Jamison.
