Florida State University Omicron Delta Kappa Records
Scope and Contents
The Omicron Delta Kappa Records collection consists of administrative records for the Florida State University Seminole Circle of ODK. These include meeting minutes, alumni records and lists, various correspondence and programs and photographs from tapping and initiation ceremonies throughout the years. Of interest is the initiates register dating to the foundation of the circle. This register contains the signatures of all initiates from 1950 to 2007.
A large segment of the collection is dedicated to the Grads Made Good breakfast held during homecoming week. This section of records includes correspondence, nomination requests, congratulations letters, selection procedures, and the speech notes of Dr. Stephen S. Winters. Of note are the large number of yearly pamphlets and photographs of the awards breakfast itself.
Most records for this collection fall between the years of 1974 and 2006. Earlier records are scant, with only the initiates register and a handful of clippings accounting for those years between 1950 and 1974.
