Scope and Contents
Publications, translations, photographs, and correspondence created and collected by Katherine Allen Clarke, documenting her research on French author and poet Jean Giono, including: translations by Clarke of selected Giono works; a 120 page interview of Giono by Clarke; 3 letters by Giono to Clarke, in French; 1 telegram to "Mlle. Clarke"; a poem; 40 post cards with views of France; 67 Kodak pictures of Giono, his family, his friends and his home town of Manosque, and the wedding of Sylvie Giono and Gerard Durbet. Subjects include Haute-Provence, University at Grenoble, Rodolphe Bresdin, and Pour Saluer Melville.
