Biographical or Historical Information
James W. Wade was born in Glen Jean, West Virginia on November 28th, 1913. He was a WWII veteran who served as a Captain with the 265th Combat Engineer Battalion, 65th Infantry Division. He entered the U.S. Army on March 31st, 1943, and was discharged on February 15th, 1946. He was among the troops who entered Ohrdruf Concentration Camp in April 1945, and he was one of the troops who liberated Mathausen concentration camp on 5 May 1945. After WWII he settled in Virginia where he worked in sales and business management. He married Ethel Felts Wade (maiden name)
