Scope and Contents

These papers are official Confederate records of the hospitals in Georgia under the jurisdiction of Major George R. Fairbanks, Quartermaster, and some of his personal and family correspondence. The materials include budget and employment records, blank forms, inventory of money and effects of deceased soldiers, medical excuses and discharges, orders, passes, receipts, reports, requisitions and supplies, telegrams and transportation information.
