The collection of Robert Hoffmann contains an oral history transcript provided by the Reichelt Oral History Program. Hoffmann served with the United State Marine Corps during World War II on the island of Guam.

Biographical or Historical Information

Hoffman served in the U.S. Marines on Guam, guarding supplies and Japanese POWs. Before enlisting, he served in the Florida State Guard. His oldest brother served in the U.S. Navy, and his other two brothers were in the Army Air Force. He then went to college on the G.I. Bill.
