Dorothy Ina Price was a Florida State College for Women student, class of 1925 (BA, Modern Language). Scope and Contents The Florida State College for Women/Florida State University Executive Council Minutes are significant to researchers because they document the organizational and academic changes in these institutions during the administrations of Drs. Edward Conradi and Doak S. Campbell. Student activities during this period are documented as well.The 1930-1931 FSCW Executive Council records include the minutes of the Administrative Committee from October 21, 1930 through July 17, 1931, with some gaps. Correspondence, indexes to minutes, lists of committee members, minutes, and reports to the Florida State University Faculty Senate documenting the discussions of the Florida State College for Women and Florida State University Curriculum Committee.

The collection consists of minutes from General Faculty meetings, recommendations of candidates for graduation, related memoranda, and faculty members' obituaries. The collection will be of interest to those researching issues of broad concern to the University in the time period covered, which includes the transition period of Florida State College for Women to the Florida State University.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains personal correspondence from 1922-1963, and research notes on Tallahassee education, the West Florida Seminary, the Florida State College for Women, and related topics. Also included are copies of a column in the Tallahassee Democrat entitled, "I remember ... in the Big Bend," and honorary awards. There are also notes on research for his book, Florida State College for Women: notes of the formative years. Additional subjects include Francis T. Dodd correspondence, Florida State University, Josephine White Dodd, Dorothy Dodd letters, William Faulkner, Tallahassee schools, and letters to Owen Rush.
