The Francis Montague Wells collection, consisting of seventy-one letters, offers the insight and perspective of an enlisted Private First Class with the 119th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division, in the European campaign during World War II.  The collection also contains two photographs of Francis Wells and a letter from his daughter Peggy Wells Hughes.

The Free Tattler

Scope and Contents The Free Tattler was a newsletter documenting the activities among a group of friends at the Florida State College for Women between 1928-29. The group referred to themselves as the "Tattlerettes" and published the newsletter "every two weeks" for "five (5) cents [a] copy." Among the activities described are the group attending church, recitals, and lecture series; having picnics and eating in the dining hall; studying for exams; and visiting with eachother on the weekends. F.S.C.W. Building No. 6 Sign

Metal (bronze?) sign with the inscription "F.S.C.W. Building No. 6" mounted on a wooden plaque with the inscription, "Once Stood Near This Spot," beneath it.  A note that accompanied the plaque stated that the "new psychology building was built on the site of the old FSCW Building No. 6, where Park Avenue runs into the campus." The sign may have been for the old gymnasium which, after it was moved to the campus side at corner of Copeland Street and Park Avenue, served for a time as the location of the Social Welfare Department.
