James Crooke papers
This collection consists of an oral history transcript of an interview with 2nd Lt. James J. Crooke, who served in World War II. Crooke served in the Army Air Corps with the 303rd Bomb Group in the European Theater (ETO).
Edwin L. Gibson daybook
This item is a day-by-day account of work done and/or activities in the area of Centerville, Alabama. The author is unknown, and it is poorly written and in poor condition. It provides a description of menial or slavish labor performed, such as picking corn, picking cotton and slaughtering pigs and beef. It is interesting only in that it furnishes an insight into how people lived and worked during the early 1800s.

Land patent - U.S.A. to Pul-sey, one of the Creek Tribe of Indians
This item is a United States certificate of transfer of public land in "The Tallapoosa Land District Alabama," (1845) to Pul-sey, one of the Creek Tribe of Indians. The transfer of land to Pul-Sey was, "by virtue of a Treaty between the United States and the said Creek Tribe of Indians, made by the 24th day of March 1832." The certificate is dated July 9, 1845. Other names mentioned were: Nat Macon Thornton & Co., Henry Meadows, J. Knox Walker, Secretary of the President, and S. H. Laughlin, Recorder of the General Land Office.
