It is signed "Bowood Park, June 21st." Bowood Park is in Calne, Wiltshire, England. The note is probably dated between 1761 and 1784 when he was called Lord Shelburne, and before he became Marquis of Lansdowne.
Also, it would have to be after the Hume publication of the first edition of the History of England in six volumes printed for A. Millar 1754-1762, and before the death of Millar in 1768. There is also a clipping with biographical information about Lord Shelburne.

Vols, Finley's Brigade, dated Dalton, Georgia, December 25, 1863, to "Dear Sister." Dallas Wood's letter to his sister is chiefly a family letter written on Christmas day and deals only slightly with army life and the granting of furloughs.
