Original typewritten manuscript and galley proofs of Leon Odell Griffith's A Long Time Since Morning. The typewritten manuscript included handwritten edits, is unbound, and has some documentation from the publisher, Random House. The galley proofs are also unbound with handwritten edits and are stored folded. They are dated March 18, 1954.

Alachua, Gadsden and Leon Counties Civil War papers

Scope and Contents These photocopies of Civil War papers include a letter from Bird B. Wright of Shepherdstown in Jefferson County, Virginia to his wife Amy R. Wright of Quincy Florida in Gadsden County. The letter dated September 21, 1862, informs her that he has been badly wounded while in combat near Sharpsburg, Maryland and gives instructions how to get to the place where he is and tells her that she or his brother should come to see him. Alexander Farnsley's love letters

Scope and Contents Facsimile reproduction of letters written by Alexander Farnsley of Fernelea to Mary Elizabeth Thurman of Louisville, whom he always addressed as "Dear Bettie." The letters were written between 1856-1860 and reproduced on the occasion of the weddings of two of their great granddaughters, Sally Burrell Farnsley, married at Louisville, July 28, 1962, and Anne Peaslee Farnsley, married at Hamburg, Germany, August 5, 1962. The letters and notes of Alexander Farnsley were handwritten and, although reproduced, are in good condition, but the one letter written by Ms. Thurman to him and signed "Bettie" is only fairly legible. Andres Memoirs: 10 Acres and Freedom

Photocopy of memoir that tells about the two Andres brothers' family episodes following their answer to an advertisement "Ten acres and freedom" which offered property for sale in Florida, from their arrival in Fort McCoy, Florida, in the fall of 1914 and the years following. The Arthur and Mayce Seymour Collection, in addition to containing correspondence between them, other family members, and friends, has articles written by the Seymours and many poems by Mayce. A major portion of the collection consists of photographs taken by the Seymours during their trips to India and China in the 1920s. Autograph Note, Nathaniel Foster

Handwritten note by Nathaniel Foster with a message written on the verso by Thomas Percy. There are three questions in Latin which constitute an examination given to Thomas Percy in 1756 "previous to the Archbishop's granting" a dispensation to Percy for the dual livings of Easton Mauduit and Wilby. The verso message by Percy is his holograph identification of the examination. The questions are: (1) Quibus potissimum argumentis probatur divina SS. Scripturanim auctoritas? (2) Quid est Ecclesia Catholica? (3) An bona Xnorum sint quoad jus et titulum communia?
