Dr. F. A. Byrd Papers
Dr. James A. Leitch Wright, Jr. Papers
The papers of Dr. James A. Leitch Wright, Jr., noted historian who taught at Florida State University from 1968 to 1986. Wright received acclaim for his Colonial American research. His papers include correspondence, research materials, and manuscripts for his publications related to Southern Indian tribes.
Includes MSS 88-1, 86-26 and 92-19.
Dr. Mark F. Boyd Collection
Collection consists mainly of photocopies of original manuscripts in Spanish from Archivos General de Indias, Sevilla, Spain. There are a few translations in Spanish and English in holograph, a few typed copies of the translations and transcription, plus some holograph notes and typed pages of the manuscript by Dr. Boyd. These, the microfilm rolls, and other items that are included in the gift by Dr. Boyd are packed in separate envelopes, boxes and other containers.
Dr. Mark F. Boyd Collection (additional gift)
This addition to the Dr. Mark F. Boyd Collection consists chiefly of items relating to the duties and activities of Don Juan Joseph de la Puente, St. Augustine, Florida, who, in 1772, was appointed Auditor of Accounts of the Royal Coffers for the Windward Islands, Province of Florida, Louisiana, Yucatan, Campeche, etc., but as other subjects are embraced, the papers have been separated and filed according to main subjects and envelopes and packages are labeled as such.
Dr. Raymond F. Bellamy papers

Dry and Smith Papers
This collection consists of abstracts of the wills of Colonel Dry (1779), G. Benjamin Smith (1824), and his wife, Sarah Dry Smith (1824), who was the daughter of Colonel Dry. Also included in the collection is a letter from Smithville, North Carolina, dated June 22, 1826, pertaining to the wills.

Returning Oct. 15, 1938 from Southampton, England aboard Nord Lloyd Liner Europa for New York City. Diary includes photographs of scenes in Berlin, Munich, London, and Paris.

This item is a day-by-day account of work done and/or activities in the area of Centerville, Alabama. The author is unknown, and it is poorly written and in poor condition. It provides a description of menial or slavish labor performed, such as picking corn, picking cotton and slaughtering pigs and beef. It is interesting only in that it furnishes an insight into how people lived and worked during the early 1800s.

Emory and Henry College Essays
The eighteen papers in this collection are in manuscript with notations, "Composition" or "Essay," and are dated Emory & Henry College, Emory, Virginia. Sixteen are signed B. E. Atkins, one is signed Sarah S. Thompson, and one is signed W. G. Bryan. The essays are on a wide variety of topics such as government, slavery and industrial progress at the time.

Evelyn Whitfield Henry Scrapbooks
This collection consists of two scrapbooks covering Tallahassee and Florida history for over a century, 1861-1961. The first scrapbook, "Chronology of Tallahassee and Florida History," consists of newspaper clippings and original documents including an aerial photograph of the Florida Capitol, the by-laws of the United Confederate Veterans, photographs of St. Johns Episcopal Church, and a pen and ink drawing of Wakulla Springs. The second scrapbook contains newspaper clippings and original documents such as inaugural programs. This second scrapbook deals with Florida governors, U.S. Presidents, and local Tallahassee history.

This collection is comprised of papers concerning an investigation into the feasibility of an Experimental College without grades or formal structure at The Florida State University during the early 1960s. The papers are dated from 1962 to 1964, with a large majority of the collection from 1964, and the papers are in no discernible order.
Faber's Cedar Mill Collection
Collection consists of two newspapers and three photos concerning the Faber's Cedar Mill at Cedar Key, FL. The issue of the New Orleans Journal of Commerce, January 29, 1887 and the issue of the Cedar Key Commercial, June 14, 1890, both contain articles relating to the Faber interests in Cedar Key and other industries along the Florida coast. Two pictures of Faber's Cedar Mill and one picture taken January 29, 1896.

Facsimile Pages From Rare Books
Collection containing facsimile pages from rare books. One page is from the "Life of St. Dorothy" and the "Life of St. Brandon." The second page is written in Latin; source unknown. The third page appears to be from a historical narrative concerning an undetermined tribe of Indians. Each page has note they were purchased from Dawson's Book Shop in 1951.
