Newclippings, photographs, creative and scholarly works, and government records collected by Davis Houck during research on the role of the press in the American civil rights movement, with special emphasis on the 1955 murder of Emmett Till near Money, Mississippi.

Dorothy Ina Price Collection
Dorothy Ina Price was a Florida State College for Women student, class of 1925 (BA, Modern Language). The items in the collection include her scrapbook, class photo, academic transcripts, a draft of her master's thesis, programs for musical performances, correspondences and other assorted student and non-student related ephemera (See box list.).

Collection of 17th-19th century newspapers from London and Nottingham, England and Edinburgh, Scotland. Includes MSS 90-13, MSS 90-14, MSS 90-15 and MSS 90-16.
Dr. Earl R. Beck Papers
Contains both holograph and typescripts of Beck's work, Under the Bombs: The German Home Front, 1942-1945. The papers also include a couple of maps, a 1987 essay exam, articles and newsclippings, research notes on various subjects, and many publications by others. This last area is especially strong in works by German authors including a handful by Schonemann. Collection includes MSS 92-21.

This collection relates to Lieutenant Commander Ivan E. Johnson, Jr. who served with U.S. Naval Intelligence in the U.S. Navy during World War II. The collection includes Johnson's U.S. Navy officer's winter jacket and three Special Service Division Army Service Army Service Forces Newsmap large format maps.

Eleanor Mary Parker was a Florida State College for Women student, Class of 1944 (BS, Education). After her graduation she continued on as an instructor in the physical education department. Evelyn Whitfield Henry Scrapbooks
This collection consists of two scrapbooks covering Tallahassee and Florida history for over a century, 1861-1961. The first scrapbook, "Chronology of Tallahassee and Florida History," consists of newspaper clippings and original documents including an aerial photograph of the Florida Capitol, the by-laws of the United Confederate Veterans, photographs of St. Johns Episcopal Church, and a pen and ink drawing of Wakulla Springs. The second scrapbook contains newspaper clippings and original documents such as inaugural programs. This second scrapbook deals with Florida governors, U.S. Presidents, and local Tallahassee history.
Faber's Cedar Mill Collection
Collection consists of two newspapers and three photos concerning the Faber's Cedar Mill at Cedar Key, FL. The issue of the New Orleans Journal of Commerce, January 29, 1887 and the issue of the Cedar Key Commercial, June 14, 1890, both contain articles relating to the Faber interests in Cedar Key and other industries along the Florida coast. Two pictures of Faber's Cedar Mill and one picture taken January 29, 1896.

Fallschase Development Reference Files
The Fallschase Development Reference Files includes newspaper articles which documented the Fallschase development process; agreements and other legal materials; minutes from public meetings held in 2005 and 2006; Fallschase development proposals, maps/surveys of the land of the proposed Fallschase community; memorandums to and from the Board of County Commissions; correspondence to and from Robert Rackleff and other Leon County commissioners.
Dorotha Farrell collection
This collection relates to Dorotha Farrell who served in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps in an orthopedic ward with the 98th General Hospital that served in England and Germany in World War II. This collection contains 72 photographs, oral history interview transcript, one newspaper article clipping, one Life magazine cover, nine letters, and one folder of official documents.

Anne Levine Filardo papers
This collection consists of letters, bulletins, pamphlets, newspapers, and photographs of a homefront worker during WWII. Anne Levine Filardo served as a machinist at Ranger Aircraft and a teacher at Kaiser Swan Island Shipyard - Childcare Center. This collection contains letters, bulletins, pamphlets, newspapers, and photographs. The documents included contain information on nutritional health, the history of the child care center, activities for children during air raids, and consumer information related to war bond budgets and home economics.
