This collection consists mainly of papers connected with Fuller Warren's public life: his campaigns of 1948 and 1956, and particularly the four years he was Governor, from January 4, 1949, to January 6, 1953. One of the best documented areas in the collection deals with Warren's controversy with Senator Estes Kefauver over crime in Florida.

George T. Ward Secession Broadside

Ward before the State Convention at Montgomery, Alabama in January 1861. Governor Thomas Brown Letter

Scope and Contents Manuscript letter by Governor Thomas Brown, Executive Department of Florida, Tallahassee, Florida, January 31, 1853, to Captain Wm. B. Cone. Cone was a former member of Legislature from Camden County, Georgia, but at the time of Brown's letter was a Captain of a Company of Calvary in the State of Georgia. The letter was in reply to Captain Cone's letters of January 21 and 24, 1853, in which Captain Cone had offered him the service of "a Company of Calvary in the event of Indian hostilities." Wayne Mixson transcript

The collection of Wayne Mixson contains an oral history transcript of an interview provided by the Reichelt Program for Oral History. Mixson, who would later serve as the 39th Governor of Florida, served in the United States Navy from 1942-1946 and participated in the Lighter-Than-Air Project; he worked with a crew in EP Squadron 14, a blimp squadron.
