Scope and Contents
Broadside box 1 contains miscellaneous oversized items ranging from 1611 to the mid-1980s. The contents consist of miscellaneous pages of earlier printed works, printed pamphlets and ephemera, reproductions of paintings with an emphasis on the history and landscapes of Florida, as well as a collection of poetry broadsides. The earlier contents consist of three leaves of the 1611 King James Bible, two late 17th century pamphlets, and one page of the London Gazette from 1789. The box also contains a series of watercolor paintings of historic Tallahassee, a representation of North Florida copied from a map, as well as several art prints related to Tallahassee and surrounding areas.
