This collection is related to Raphael "Ray" Edward Cavanaugh, a World War II U.S. Marine. The colelction includes one Japanese World War II flag signed by men from his unit, which was the 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd U.S. Marine Division. In addition the collection contains a U.S. Marine Corps ID Card; 1 uniform lanyard (Croix de Guerre); 1 metal ribbon bar; 1 sharpshooter medal; a 4th Marine Division patch; a 2nd Marine Division patch; 5 pieces of Japanese currency; 2 ration coupon booklets; and one picture of Raphael "Ray" Edward Cavanaugh himself in uniform.

This collection contains an oral history transcript of Staff Sergeant Charles Diedling, a flight engineer on a B-24 with the 460th Bomb Group at Spinazola, Italy. Charles Diedling discusses his training as a flight engineer and waist gunner for the B-24 at Keesler AFB, Mississippi and Loredo AFB, Texas.  In June of 1944, he was assigned to the 460th Bomb Group of the 15th Air Force in Spinazola, Italy. Diedling was shot down over Germany becoming a prisoner of war.

Scope and Contents The Charles H. Turner Collection consists principally of scores and personal effects donated by David Brinson and Turner's mother, Norma Turner. The scores are primarily copies of handwritten arrangements of jazz standards made for Sinatra's band, but there are also some published scores, including a few brass arrangements of Baroque pieces like the six-part Ricercar from Bach's Musical Offering. Charles P. Campbell papers

Scope and Contents

Charles Campbell was bombardier on a B-17 who was shot down over Linz, Austria and captured by the Germans. While in captivity, he was sent to Mauthausen concentration camp and managed to keep a journal of his experiences there. He served with the 483rd Bombardment Group. Just prior to the war's end, Campbell was transferred to an unidentified Stalag and credits this with saving his life. The collection includes reproductions of 483rd Bomb Group artwork, a statement and picture of the Mauthausen concentration camp from after the war, a World War II memoir with pictures and documents and a copy of his obituary.

This collection contains cinema promotional materials in various formats, including press books, 33 1/3 and 45 records, cassette tapes of radio commercials and video tapes.

Each press book contains advertising material for the promotion of a particular film such as stories about the stars or production of the movie, actual layouts of various sizes, campaign plans, and related information. In size, the press books vary from a single page or sheet to a booklet of a dozen or more pages. Some contain various enclosures such as pictures and additional ad sheets.

The records consist of 33 1/3's and 45's which may contain several radio commercials of various lengths.
