The papers of Carl Lavin contains a transcript provided by the Reichelt Program for Oral History. Carl Lavin served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 as an infantryman in the European Theatre of Operations with the 69th Infantry Division. He operated a Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) in the advance across Western Europe in 1944 to 1945, and he relates numerous anecdotes from his combat experiences.
This collection relates to Carl Lyren who served in the United States Marine Corps in 2nd Marine Division the Pacific Theater. The materials of this collection are made up of maps, unclassified documents from both Japanese and U.S. forces, books, letters, interviews with veterans, photographs, newspaper clippings, and personal notes made by Carl Lyren in his research in writing on the battle of Peleliu, also in this collection is the original manuscript of the publication Dogged Courage: The Struggle for Peleliu, 1944.
The collection includes correspondence, publications, service records, diaries, memorabilia, articles, research notes, speeches, genealogical information, photographs, and scrapbooks created or collected by Carlton J. Corliss. The majority of the papers are related to railroads, various railway companies that Corliss worked for, and publications about railroads. Topics include the Florida East Coast Railway, the Illinois Central Railroad Company, the Association of American Railroads, Abraham Lincoln, Florida, public relations, and his book, MAIN LINE OF MID-AMERICA. The collection also includes some writings of Robert S. Chilton from his service in the State Department.

This collection relates to Staff Sergeant George R. Caron who served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. Caron was the tail gunner on the "Enola Gay" B-29 bomber that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. This collection contains an oral history interview transcript.
This collection relates to George Robert Carr who served in Europe during World War II. This collection includes two manuscripts. The first manuscript details Robert C. Mowrer's experiences serving with the 106th infantry Regiment, 27th Division, in the Pacific Theater. The second manuscript details German soldier Gunther Schmidt's account of the Battle of Huertgen Forest from the time was sent there to when his battalion is defeated.

This collection relates to Private First Class Edward Carrow who served with the 665th Engineer Topographical Company, 4th Regiment, in the European Theater of Operations during World War II. The collection contains numerous letters dating from July 1943 to October 1945. The collection also contains a scrapbook containing telegrams, playbills, several photographs, two maps of Europe and the Pacific, and several currency notes from France, Germany, and Austria.
Collection includes letters with holograph poems, one of which was by Ernest Dowson. Newspaper clippings, newsletters and two pictures - one of Governor John W. Martin and one of Major John W. Tench.

This collection pertains to Edward J. Cavanary who served in the U.S. Army as an Adjutant in the 7th Field Hospital during WWII. This collection contains a photographic copy of a scrapbook, as well as photographs, postcards, playbills, letters, ticket stubs, flyers, newspaper clippings, pamphlets, drawings, maps and a book of true experiences of members of the 7th Field Hospital written by John Kidda and Fred Marston.
This collection is related to Raphael "Ray" Edward Cavanaugh, a World War II U.S. Marine. The colelction includes one Japanese World War II flag signed by men from his unit, which was the 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd U.S. Marine Division. In addition the collection contains a U.S. Marine Corps ID Card; 1 uniform lanyard (Croix de Guerre); 1 metal ribbon bar; 1 sharpshooter medal; a 4th Marine Division patch; a 2nd Marine Division patch; 5 pieces of Japanese currency; 2 ration coupon booklets; and one picture of Raphael "Ray" Edward Cavanaugh himself in uniform.
This collection relates to Technician 5th Grade Charles Wilfong Chalker who served with the 76th Infantry Division in the European Theater during World War II. The collection contains three German World War II period flags brought back after the war from Europe by Chalker.
Ralph Chapman (MSM with the Royal Army Service Corps) served with the British 8th Army in the Middle East and Italy from 1941-1944. The collection contains v-mail letters sent to Chapman's wife and son at home in Glasgow, Scotland.
This manuscript relates to Sergeant Charles Alden Haug who served with Company B, 112th Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division during World War II in the European Theater of Operations. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and Bronze Star Medal. This collection contains an unpublished manuscript memoir.
This collection consists of an oral history interview transcript of a U.S. Army Air Corps cook and baker, who served in England during World War II in the 2003rd Ordnance Unit at Melchbourne Park. This collection also contains a unit history.
This collection contains an oral history transcript of Staff Sergeant Charles Diedling, a flight engineer on a B-24 with the 460th Bomb Group at Spinazola, Italy. Charles Diedling discusses his training as a flight engineer and waist gunner for the B-24 at Keesler AFB, Mississippi and Loredo AFB, Texas. In June of 1944, he was assigned to the 460th Bomb Group of the 15th Air Force in Spinazola, Italy. Diedling was shot down over Germany becoming a prisoner of war.
The collection consists of a photograph of the first doctorate awarded by Florida State University, as well as an issue of the Florida Flambeau.

This letter is a power of attorney in manuscript signed by Charles Haire of Tallahassee, Florida, to Leslie A. Thompson, also of Tallahassee, dated 1836, and empowering Thompson to act for in "in all premises."
Charles Campbell was bombardier on a B-17 who was shot down over Linz, Austria and captured by the Germans. While in captivity, he was sent to Mauthausen concentration camp and managed to keep a journal of his experiences there. He served with the 483rd Bombardment Group. Just prior to the war's end, Campbell was transferred to an unidentified Stalag and credits this with saving his life. The collection includes reproductions of 483rd Bomb Group artwork, a statement and picture of the Mauthausen concentration camp from after the war, a World War II memoir with pictures and documents and a copy of his obituary.
The Charlotte Edwards Maguire Collection consists of meeting minutes, correspondence, photographs, audiovisual materials related to her involvement with the Florida State University College of Medicine. The collection also includes materials from her non-FSU professional career, as well as personal documents and family photographs.
