This collection contains cinema promotional materials in various formats, including press books, 33 1/3 and 45 records, cassette tapes of radio commercials and video tapes.

Each press book contains advertising material for the promotion of a particular film such as stories about the stars or production of the movie, actual layouts of various sizes, campaign plans, and related information. In size, the press books vary from a single page or sheet to a booklet of a dozen or more pages. Some contain various enclosures such as pictures and additional ad sheets.

The records consist of 33 1/3's and 45's which may contain several radio commercials of various lengths.

This item is a notice of authorization to receive into military service of the Confederate States, companies, battalions, or regiments within the territorial limits of Northwest Florida between the Suwannee and Choctawhatchee Rivers and 21 counties (listed) of Southern Georgia. The notice is signed by Howell Cobb, Brigadier General, Commanding District. The item is a printed page, approximately 4 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches, entitled: Head Quarters, District of Middle Florida, Quincy, January 28, 1863.

Blount, 1st Lieutenant Company B 26th Georgia Regiment, to Colonel R. H. Chilton, dated January 22, 1864, and consists of a request for leave. E. M. Blount, 26th Georgia Regiment, Camp near Smoketown, dated November 13, 1862, is a request for leave, sending him to McIntosh County, Georgia. The next letter is from H. B. Claribel Jett collection of certificates

This World War II collection relates to two brothers who served in the U.S. Army and consists of letters, documents, photographs, memorabilia, army uniform items, equipment, personal items, and medals. The letters from one brother, primarily sent to his parents, detail his service from Mifflinburg, PA through his training in the United States at Camp Polk, LA, and Fort Sam Houston, TX. They also cover his overseas transfer to England, as well as France, Belgium, and Germany. The letters from the other brother detail service from Mifflinburg, PA to the North African Campaign, and then to the European Campaign.

Clarke M. Brandt collection

The collection of Clarke M. Brandt contains an oral history transcript and various publications about army life during World War II. In it are examples such as George (Bob) Caron who was a tail gunner on the "Enola Gay" B-29 Bomber. The oral history includes Caron's eyewitness account of the bomb being dropped on Hiroshima. Also included are pamphlets and newsletters including "War Buddies," which covers the relationship between a soldier and his canine companion through his years as a member of the US Marine Corps. "War Buddies" is written by Earle Welch and Dick Roberts.

This collection relates to Captain Wilson Malcom Clayton who served as a pilot in the U.S. Army Air Corps and was assigned as liaison pilot for the 909th Field Artillery Battalion of the 84th Infantry Division in Europe during World War II. He flew L-4 Piper Cubs. The collection contains a handwritten diary that documents his activities during the war.

These papers include a letter from Clement Acton Griscom to his son Lloyd, who served as a foreign diplomat to Japan in the early 1900s. Also included is a small Christmas gift card signed "From Bronson Winthrop," and a small envelope addressed to Col. Lloyd Griscom, care of Miss Griscom, Water Oak Plantation, Tallahassee, Florida. The scrapbook collection consists of 39 books primarily concerned with the history of the school School of Music at the Florida State College for Women (1909-1947) and Florida State University (1947-present). The contents are mostly newspaper clippings directly related to the school or its faculty, recital and concert programs, and posters. Coverage extends from 1911 up to 2002.

Additionally, four books contain collections of articles on and photgraphs of opera singers and the Metropolitan Opera in New York. These books include material dating from the 1890s to the 1940s.
