Publishers include Alternative Comics, Fantagraphics Books, Slave Labor Graphics, Vertigo Comics, and independently produced zines, as well as Dark Horse Comics, DC Comics, Image Comics, Oni Press, and Marvel Comics.

This collection contains cinema promotional materials in various formats, including press books, 33 1/3 and 45 records, cassette tapes of radio commercials and video tapes.

Each press book contains advertising material for the promotion of a particular film such as stories about the stars or production of the movie, actual layouts of various sizes, campaign plans, and related information. In size, the press books vary from a single page or sheet to a booklet of a dozen or more pages. Some contain various enclosures such as pictures and additional ad sheets.

The records consist of 33 1/3's and 45's which may contain several radio commercials of various lengths.
