This collection relates to Charles Aiken who served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the European Theater of Operation during World War Two. This collection contains a newspaper clipping and an oral history transcript.

The Annie Gertrude Gilliam Scrapbook contains photographs, programs, and other items related to her years as a student at Florida State College for Women.

Both the scrapbook in its entirety and select individual objects from the scrapbook have been digitized and are available through the FSU Digital Library.

This collection contains an oral transcript of interviews with sisters-in-law Jennie Green and Eunice Proffitt. Green shares her experience during World War II when she served as a mess sergeant in the Women's Army Corps. Proffitt remained on the home front throughout the war and recounts working at her family's farm and as a nurse.

This collection contains six Aviator's Flight Log Books from Captain Hilliard C. Smathers' time as a pilot with the U.S. Navy, from 1930-1951. Also included is the flag that flew in Smathers' honor over the United States Capitol in Washington D.C. and two certificates confirming this occasion. The US Naval Aviator certificate contains a picture of Smathers, as well as the date on which he was officially certified as a Naval Aviator - March 21, 1942 - and three instrument rating cards.
