This collection consists of letters, bulletins, pamphlets, newspapers, and photographs of a homefront worker during WWII. Anne Levine Filardo served as a machinist at Ranger Aircraft and a teacher at Kaiser Swan Island Shipyard - Childcare Center. This collection contains letters, bulletins, pamphlets, newspapers, and photographs. The documents included contain information on nutritional health, the history of the child care center, activities for children during air raids, and consumer information related to war bond budgets and home economics.

Scope and Contents This collection contains the World War II 7th Infantry Division personal letters of U.S. Army Chaplain Assistant and Mess Sergeant Job C. Martin to his family in Pennsylvania. The collection also contains photographs and documents. Beginning with letters written while at the St. Fidelis Seminary in 1940 through his discharge in 1946, Martin discusses induction, basic training, anti-air training, reclassification, Pacific theater training in Ft. Ord, California, service in Oahu, the Philippines, Okinawa, and Seoul, Korea. His letters numbering, on average, several per week, provide a unique insight into the daily life of a G.I. This forty page oral history interview transcript relates to Robert Mckay who was a student and interned by the Japanese at Baguio in the Philippine Islands during World War II.  The interview was conducted with McKay at a Baguio Internee reunion. The transcript covers McKay's experiences before, during, and after internment.

Leonard J. Travaline (also spelled Traveline in some records) served in the United States Army as an Artilleryman from 1941 to 1945. He served with the 166th Field Artillery Battalion and later the 938th Field Artillery Battallion in the Mediterranean and European Theaters. He served as a front line observer in Oran, North Africa, Italy, France, Germany, and Austria. The collection contains a transcribed daily journal that Travaline kept from the time of his landing in North Africa until the end of the war and his arrival back in the States in September 1945.
