Gregory Family Notes and Notebook

Scope and Contents The notebook is a small book consisting of 33 leaves (6 blank) and 7 partial leaves. The major portion of the notebook contains business transactions between Lewis Gregory and various other persons whose names are mentioned and whose names or family names are found in early Gadsden County history. The business entries date from 1837 to 1861 and deal with beef, pork, mutton, sugar, peas, corn, tobacco, cotton, butter, etc. Near the back of the notebook are found eleven pages of family records dating from 1781 to 1885.Includes Gregory family notes found among the papers of the late W.G. The collection was given by Reubin O'Donovan Askew in 2008.
