The collection consists of minutes from General Faculty meetings, recommendations of candidates for graduation, related memoranda, and faculty members' obituaries. The collection will be of interest to those researching issues of broad concern to the University in the time period covered, which includes the transition period of Florida State College for Women to the Florida State University.
The collection is related to Fenton Keyes who served in the U.S. Army in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II. The collection includes a poem, photograph, and a drawing by J.C.W. Dix, the brother of Fenton Keyes's wife, Elizabeth Dix Keyes. The collection also includes a copy of a New York Times Magazine story about the Leyte Gulf from October 24, 1945, and a book review on a naval book about the war.
