Scope and Contents Frederick W. Ritter served in the Marine Corps as an engineer officer during World War II. He specifically served as a Vought F4U Corsair engineer. He trained at Parris Island, Jacksonville Naval Base, and attended Officer training at Quantico. He met his wife when he joined a church choir in Jacksonville, corresponding with her throughout the war. During the battle of Okinawa, he oversaw the maintenance of the Corvairs that protected the Navy from Kamikaze attacks. Leon J. Gwiazdowski served as a U.S. Army engineer in the Pacific Theater with the 340th Engineers during World War II. His collection includes letters written between Gwiazdowski and his family, as well as other documents relating to his time in the military.

Scope and Contents The Paul Curtis Koerner Collection was donated by his daughter Judy Davis. The collection contains a variety of items, papers, and correspondence from Koerner's career as an Army Engineer in WWII. The collection contains his copy of the New Testament that he recieved while training at Camp Blanding, to his death certificate.
