Irvin Baker manuscript
1st Lieutenant Irvin Baker's unpublished manuscript describes his experiences as a platoon leader with the 4th Marine Division and 10th Amtrac Battalion of the United States Marine Corps. He led his platoon through the Battle of Iwo Jima.
Judie Campbell transcript
This collection relates to Judie Campbell who served in the U.S. Army with the 3104 General Quartermasters attached to the 450th Engineers in the European Theater of operations during World War II. This collection contains an oral history transcript where Campbell recounts his experiences in Liverpool, England, and throughout Europe as an African African. Campbell discusses desertion, his experiences being a squad leader, his experiences with European women, other soldiers who fathered children, and his experiences with race and racism.

Harold Cooler transcript
The collection of Harold Cooler contains an oral history transcript of an interview provided by the Reichelt Program for Oral History. Cooler served in the U.S. Army in the 165th Engineer Combat Battalion in the European Theater during World War II.
Coleridge Augustus Jemmott papers
Coleridge Augustus Jemmott was an African American soldier in the United States Army, "I" company, 22nd Quartermaster Regiment. He served in Italy and North Africa as a sergeant, transporting the "Anizio Annie" cannon, from 1942 to 1945. The collection contains photographs and ephemera from Jemmott's war years. There are sixty black-and-white photographs of Jemmott with his unit in North Africa and Italy. There is also a menu from a Casablanca restaurant, Port of Leghorn entry card, newspaper clippings, and a North African Theater uniform patch.
Lewis M. Killian Papers
Publications, typescripts, speeches, and correspondence documenting the academic career of Lewis M. Killian, professor of sociology at Florida State University (1952-1968) and University of Massachussetts at Amherst (1969-1985), especially concerning his research in disaster study and race relations in the United States.

The Martin Dyckman Leroy Collins Research Collection
This collection contains research materials used by Martin Dyckman for his 2006 book about former Governor Leroy Collins titled Floridian of His Century. Research materials include speeches from Leroy Collins before he became governor; an interview transcript with Premier Khrushchev during Collins' trip to the Soviet Union; newspaper columns written by Collins for the St. Peterburg Times and transcripts and audio recordings of interviews conducted by Dyckman.

This World War II collection relates to Robert C. Watson, an African American soldier who served in the Navy during World War II. It contains a page of the roll call from the 316th Port Company with Robert C. Watson's name. There are also news articles and comics from the base. There are photographs of Robert C. Watson's unit and his Veteran's questionnaire. There is also an article he wrote about his experience as a black man who appeared white in the Navy.
