This collection contains a veteran's questionnaire from Louis Hill; a one-page faded cartoon of native women on Guadalcanal; and a brief (less than one page) recount of how Hill came upon a Japanese lantern, which is also part of the collection. Newman, 717th Squadron, 449th Bombardment Group, from his time as a prisoner of war in Krems, Austria during World War II. A diary, provided by the American YMCA, contains artwork, poetry, and other writings from Newman's time in the camp.
