This collection relates to Lieutenant Commander Ivan E. Johnson, Jr. who served with U.S. Naval Intelligence in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  The collection includes Johnson's U.S. Navy officer's winter jacket and three Special Service Division Army Service Army Service Forces Newsmap large format maps.

The Edward L. Herp papers document Captain Edward Herp's time spent as a radio operator for the 321st Fighter Control Squadron of the 9th Air Force for the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. The collection contains an oral history, various photographs, the bulk of them taken at the Buchenwald concentration camp, a letter discussing the photographs, personal documents, postcards, and other items that illustrate his service in Great Britain, France, Belgium, Germany, and Czechoslovakia. Also in the oral history, Herp discusses his time spent working at Florida State University for WFSU-TV and as a professor of television production.

This collection centers around Joe Gould (formerly Goldstein), a soldier in the intelligence section of the 25th Bomb Group and 325th Photographic Wing in England, and his wife, Shirley Gould, on the homefront in Chicago. It includes letters, photographs and some of their corresponding negatives, a photo album of letters and V-Mail, newspaper clippings, event brochures, various personnel records, and ephemera from the service and the homefront, including drawings, decorative dog tags, and ration cards.

This collection relates to Juanita P. Marotta, a woman that enlisted in the Women's Army Auxillary Corps (later Women's Army Corps). The collection contains a portrait photograph of Juanita P. Marotta from her time in the Women's Army Corps and another later photograph that is un-dated from her personal life. It also contains a transcript of her oral history interview.

This collection relates to Peter T. Suzuki, a Japanese American scholar who spent two years in internment camps during World War II. This collection contains a series of publications, newspapers, and articles relating to Suzuki and information on the effects of Japanese relocation and prejudice during World War II. The collection also includes information on Japanese Americans' post-war experience.
