Scope and Contents Genealogical materials, family and business papers and correspondence, pictures, tax and receipts, mortgages, a will, old newspapers and clippings. This collection pertains to the Rees, Schlemmer and Adicks families, and contains a wide variety of materials. There is a 16-page mimeographed genealogical outline compiled by Evelyn Rees Burt entitled "Our 'Rees' Family," as well as historical materials about Cedar Keys, Florida. There are biographical sketches in a 10-page family history compiled by Evelyn Rees Burt, December 1962 and May 1968, with photocopies of pictures of the home, hotel and burial plot of the Schlemmer family at Cedar Key. Collection consists of two newspapers and three photos concerning the Faber's Cedar Mill at Cedar Key, FL. The issue of the New Orleans Journal of Commerce, January 29, 1887 and the issue of the Cedar Key Commercial, June 14, 1890, both contain articles relating to the Faber interests in Cedar Key and other industries along the Florida coast. Two pictures of Faber's Cedar Mill and one picture taken January 29, 1896.

T. W. T. Curtis Papers

Scope and Contents

This collection contains letters, dated 1886, from T. W. T. Curtis of New Haven, Connecticut, to John S. Wycoff of Citra, Florida, concerning joint holdings in citrus groves in Florida. The correspondence is especially interesting from the point of view of grading, marketing and pricing as compared to methods employed by the citrus industry in 1963. Other letters are from D. L. Yulee of Washington, to Colonel E. I. Lutterloch in Florida, relative to transfer of land for construction of the Suwannee & Gulf Railroad. There is also a picture in this collection which offers a bird's eye view of Cedar Key, Florida.
