Scope and Contents The Allen Morris Papers consist of personal and professional records and research materials accumulated by Mr. Morris over a period of about forty-one years. The papers consist of correspondence; biographical sketches of Florida officials and other famous Floridians; photographs, programs, and other materials related to the Allen Morris Legislative Awards; historical data concerning place names, historical houses, rivers and river boats. German-American Lumber Company Records

Abstract

The collection includes correspondence, deeds, accounting records, bills and debt letters, contracts, invoices, shipping records, and various ledgers. The majority of the collection consists of correspondence, 1890-1920, concerning orders of lumber to be shipped, shipping status, and payments. A large portion of the collection is comprised of shipping records, 1904-1919, contained in 12 boxes.  It also contains 115 bound volumes including various ledgers, letter books, cash books, sales records, log books, shipping records, cash reports, and accounting journals.

Pensacola imprints and land grants

Scope and Contents This collection of documents is from the large collection of papers of the British army paymaster's office which was in the possession of the Manchester autograph dealer, John Gray Bell, in 1857, and which was bought by Sir Thomas Phillips. It has been supposed that the documents were removed from Pensacola following the surrender of the town to Galvez on May 8, 1781. This collection contains 103 land grants issued in Pensacola, Florida, during the administration of Governor Peter Chester, each document signed by both he and Elias Durnford. 101 of the documents are printed forms filled out in manuscript, and two are entirely in manuscript. Accounting journals, cash books, cash journals, checkbook stubs, daybooks, delivery records, fish checkbook stubs, fish sales, fish journals, fish receipt books, ship account books, ship supply transfer records, trial balances, and details on various accounts held by the Baylen Street Wharf Company, which was later absorbed by the Warren Fish Company.
